Republic Act No. 11982

AN ACT GRANTING BENEFITS TO FILIPINO OCTOGENARIANS AND NONAGENARIANS, AMENDING FOR THIS PURPOSE REPUBLIC ACT NO. 10868, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS THE "CENTENARIANS ACT OF 2016", AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR

Section 1.

Cash Gifts and Letter of Felicitation

Filipinos, whether in the Philippines or abroad, shall receive:

​​

  • ₱100,000 and a congratulatory letter from the President upon turning 100 years old.

  • ₱10,000 upon reaching 80, 85, 90, and 95 years old.

​

Recipients must claim the cash gift within one year of reaching these ages.

Section 2.

Elderly Data Management System

The National Commission of Senior Citizens (NCSC) shall maintain an elderly data management system to support this Act.

​

In collaboration with the PSA, DSWD, DICT, and LGUs for online registration of beneficiaries.

Eligibility

All Filipinos

All Filipino Senior Citizens, whether residing in the Philippines or abroad.

Octogenarian and Nonagenarian

Octogenarians who are ages eighty (80) and eighty-five (85).

Nonagenarians who are ages ninety (90) and ninety-five (95).

Centenarian

Centenarian who reached one hundred years old (100).

Primary Identification

• Photocopy of National ID (Philsys ID) or 

• PSA Original or Certified True Copy of Live Birth Certificate

Recent 2" by 2" ID Photo and Full Body Picture printed in A4 paper

Endorsement Letter

Endorsement letter from the Local Chief Executive where the applicant resides. For Filipinos abroad, an endorsement from the PE/Consulate, DFA, DMW, or CFO is acceptable.

For Deceased Potential Beneficiaries

a. Original death certificate.

b. Photocopy of a valid ID of the nearest relative.

c. Photocopy of proof of relationship (e.g., birth or marriage certificate).

d. If multiple relatives, a settlement must authorize one to receive the benefits and a release from liability form (Annex "B").
