The National Commission of Senior Citizens (NCSC) is steadfast in upholding its political neutrality as the country approaches the national and local elections on May 12, 2025.
In a memorandum issued to all NCSC officials and employees, Dr. Mary Jean P. Loreche, Officer-in-Charge and Commission Member IV, likewise underscored the importance of exercising caution in their social media and networking activities.
“All Officials, Employees, Contract of Service and Job Order Workers are reminded to be mindful of postings in social media/networking accounts and refrain from showing support for or campaign against any local or national political aspirants,” the memorandum stated.
The directive also reiterates the importance of adhering to the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees. NCSC personnel are urged to exercise discretion and sound judgment in their professional and online interactions to uphold the integrity of the agency.
The NCSC remains focused in performing its task and functions and ensuring that its programs and services shall continue free of undue influence from any political group or agenda.
